At what may be the height of her early career, teen sensation Taylor Swift finds herself facing the downside of stardom -- naysayers.
The 19-year-old pop/country singer-songwriter heads in to Sunday's American Music Awards with a leading six nominations after a dream year of sold out concerts and the best-selling album in the United States.
Swift will compete Sunday against the late Michael Jackson for artist of the year, and is nominated for favorite female artist in the pop/rock, country and adult contemporary categories, along with favorite album for "Fearless".

Back in early 1995 when Sheryl Crow won Grammy gold for her debut album, her bank account was hardly glistening.
The album, "Tuesday Night Music Club," had already sold about two million copies in the seven months before Crow walked off with honors for best new artist, record of the year and female pop vocalist.
But it was not until the following year that the rock singer/songwriter received her first royalty check, she recalled in a recent interview with Reuters.

Court documents show police linked a drug blamed in Michael Jackson's death to the pop singer's personal physician who bought it at a Las Vegas pharmacy.
Search warrant records released on Friday show that authorities raiding Applied Pharmacy Services on August 11 sought paperwork showing it was the place Dr Conrad Murray bought several vials of the powerful sedative propofol.
Records show a receipt obtained in a July 28 search of Murray's Las Vegas medical office showed he bought propofol ...

"This is not a show," murmurs Michael Stipe at the start of Live at the Olympia and it's not quite misdirection.
R.E.M.'s five-night residency at Dublin's Olympia in the summer of 2007 functioned as working rehearsals for their fourteenth album Accelerate, with the band testing out each of the songs, exploring arrangements, finding breaking points, and pairing them with older songs that informed their back-to-basics move.
As rehearsal, it paid off splendidly — road-testing the material made it ...

Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas is currently "camping out" in Los Angeles.
As part of his excursion, he's doing a month-long residency of shows, playing every Friday at the Broadway Palace Theater.
It turns out there's a lot of history at the venue.

Broken Embraces showcases a few of director Pedro Almodóvar's favorite things: bold colors; cinephilia; twisty, melodramatic plots; and, of course, Penélope Cruz. Broken Embraces defies a simple one-line description—something about a big-shot director turned blind screenwriter, a prostitute turned actress, and the power of film to tie it all together—but, as with any Almodóvar picture, the pleasure will probably come less from narrative synopsis and more from the heady, ridiculous gorgeousness of ...

Well I can't say that I am sorry that Evan Chandler is dead. If it wasn't for him and the lies he started about the child abuse MJ's life would not have been in such turmoil and he would not suffered the pain he did. He loved and did so much for kids and then for this evil man to accuse him of molesting his son was inexcusable. It was an extortion plot from the beginning and only caused another trial for him. I don't think Michael's life would have ended up the way it did if he had not gone through the pain and suffering that he did at the expense of such evil people. All MJ did was spread love, kindness, peace, charity and hope for the world. At least MJ is heaven and Chandler is in Hell and the two of them will never have to meet again. Michael - I love you and miss you and I thank you for all that you did for our children and our world. You are my inspiration and will always be in my heart.
Note: Go to www.jacksonsnation.com and listen to "Living Your Dream - A Tribute Song for Michael" produced by Al Walser and Jermaine. It is sung by the MJ Allstars. It is so beautiful and there is also a video. If you buy it the proceeds go to a children's charity. Do this in MJ's memory. Thanks all and God Bless

RE: article on 10-31 Inside MJ's Future by the Daily Beast - Reporter: Diane Dimond
First of all she is a witch and has been out the get Michael from the start of the first trial. I thin she has a personal vendetta against him. What she has to say in that article is all a bunch of hear-say. I do not believe that Michael was planning anything like what she is reporting. I believe that truly these were to be his last concerts and then he was going to retire from performing. He was doing this for his fans and for his children. I know one time he had said he wanted to go into making movies and that I could see him doing along with spending time with his kids. Diane Dimond has never said anything positive about MJ. Doesn't she realize that all the negative things she writes will eventually get back to his kids? How cruel!!!!
Every interview I have seen her on has always been negative. But one day she will face the music, too, as we all will.
Thank you all for letting me vent. I do not like this woman!!!
